What exactly are the things that are an
abomination to the Lord?
The general meaning of the word
"abomination" or abominable" is: Something detestable, unlawful or
repulsive.
Regarding the New
Jerusalem the Bible says, "But there shall by no means enter it anything that
defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's
Book of Life." Rev. 21:27. Also Rev. 21:8 says, " But the cowardly,
unbelieving, [some text adds "and sinners"], abominable, murderers, sexually
immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns
with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
The following is a list of things that God considers an abomination:
- Unclean things (Lev. 7:21)
- Customs of pagans (Lev. 18:30)

- Sins of men (Ps. 14:1; 53:1)
- Cheating (Mic. 6:10)

So it is abundantly clear from
scripture that ALL SIN is considered an abomination by God and to single out any sin as
worse than another is NOT rightly dividing the Word of Truth!
